1. An open door in what seemed like an impregnable fortress -- I got a call today offering me a tutoring job with the school district.
2. Backpacks loaded with school supplies and new shoes -- the excitement of a new school year is bubbling here!
3. Overheard giggles and silliness during a cousin-to-cousin phone call.
4. One from a few days ago that I am still grateful for: the teacher certification board accepted all my courses for a Theatre minor, which makes me really happy and hopefully will be a real asset in finding a position.
