1. Encouraging news from the refugee family our church has sponsored. They've been stranded in a camp in Tanzania for 13 years, waiting for a new life to begin. Now they are slotted for the next round of interviews and things could move very quickly if it goes well.
2. 10,000 Reasons to bless the Lord. Another beautiful song that reminds me of God's goodness.
3. Serving God and the needy in our city alongside my daughter, who worked hard but wants to go back.
4. Working together with other Jesus followers from a variety of churches, especially Norm and Father Chris, who both serve with patience and joy and compassion.
5. Rain -- buckets and buckets of it, waking me in the morning, restoring the winter water table, and lulling me to sleep tonight.
6. A book to be absorbed in, making for two almost completely screen-free evenings.
7. An abundance of answered prayer shared this morning in the worship service, and the church celebrating my job along with me.
